We set-up CARS IN SOUTH SCOTLAND at the end of 2004 to offer more choice for car buyers and sellers in south Scotland, along with three other websites covering the Whole of Scotland, North and Central Scotland.

Our research revealed that many classified websites covering the whole of the UK contained relatively few adverts offering cars for sale in many parts of Scotland.

Out of these, the better-known 'pay to advertise' websites tend to offer short term advertising which can be very costly if your car takes a few weeks to sell. While many other free sites don't have this problem, they're largely content-focused on other parts of the UK.

For potential buyers in South Scotland, this often means trawling through countless websites to weed out anything of interest. For sellers, it can mean that your advert reaches a large, but unfocused UK audience that generally won't be prepared to travel long distances to buy.

Since launch, we've helped advertisers from across South Scotland list cars, parts and wanted ads. With our new website, we aim to build on our considerable success to date.
